I think "need" should be 需要. The translation provided means “Who wants a fork?” Fork is usually written as 叉子 in Chinese.
要 is commonly used for both "need" and "want". You can use 想要 or 需要 if you really need to specify which, but it's more common to use 要 for both.

It is true that 叉子 is more common though. Confirmed with my native friends.
