Translation:Whose cat is this?
whoever determines the answers should be realise that english is very flexible when it comes to word order
Remember to report your answer so they can add it to the grading key.
Ridiculous "This is whose cat?" is not accepted!
I'm trying to learn Chinese here, not advanced high-level English. It's often more helpful to translate more literally word for word so I can start to regonize the Chinese sentence structure and specific characters rather than be forced to bend every sentence into "perfect" english.
They should also realize that the point is to learn Chinese not English. So if you're English translation isn't proper English but you got the main point that should be fine.
You should also realise that the admins have to tell duo all the correct English sentences so it doesn't mark them as wrong, that takes time and help from the users, so you can report it and let them know.
well, they do... the problem is that every accepted answer has to be specifically added, so please tell them what should be marked as correct to improve the program ^_^
This is Jon's cat. This is whose cat? What? This is whose cat? It's Jon's. Jon's it is. I'm sorry, did you say, "This is whose cat?" Yes. I'm sorry, I didn't catch that. I love turtles. Sorry. Thanks!
