What are the accents of the two speakers

As we've been doing duolingo, we've noted that the two speakers in the French lessons have distinctly different accents. What do these represent? Where are they from, and how do they differ from the rest of spoken French. Inquiring minds want to know

I was told that the female is more Parisian and the male is more like the south of France.

I've heard the same thing. I find the male voice easier to understand.

The voices are text-to-voice programs. The male voice represents an accent of southern France. I'd guess that the female voice is central/Parisian.
