Streak/reverse tree
What happens to your streak when you start the reverse tree? I love my streak!

Hi, this is the French forum, for getting help with French grammar, vocabulary, resources, etc. Could you please edit your original post and use the drop-down list at top left to change the topic from "French" to "Troubleshooting"? That way it won't clutter up the French forum, and the answers you get might help others who look in Troubleshooting for answers to the same thing. Thanks!

There are two streaks types:
- Your global 531 streaks
- your individual language course streak (like a Memrise single course streak), e.g EN-FR (n ot visable per se in the web portal)
If you ONLY start the reverse tree, your global streak will be continued 1+ if you still meet your daily coach goal (e.g 10XP), but:
You will be loosing your EN-FR individual languages streak if you stop reviewing your forward tree.
So to keep ALL streaks (three), you need to do both courses in parallel.

Mr Heiss , maybe I'm not understanding you correctly , but my streak continues as long as I put in 20XP in any language. I just earned 20 XP in Italian and it advanced my streak to 452
I review my Eng-Fr tree once a week or so (working on the Fr-Eng tree) and I am not aware of what streak I am losing.

Yes, this is right: Because it is the only global streak (flame) visible on the website.
But actually each language course has it's own streak:
If you do not review daily EN-FR, the streak counter (for this course) will reset each time, not your orange flame.
You would need to use the "DuoTweak" user script to see it.
As it is an old Python user script, it only works with a workaround.
