I wrote Emilian usually comes early and it was rejected. Shouldn't that be correct as 'hu-' is habitual?

I agree. The acceptance of "usually" in these habitual sentences is very inconsistent. Either it should be accepted pretty much all the time, or not. At it is you need a crystal ball to work out if this sentence accepts/expects "usually" or not.
