"Japanese for English is not yet supported on the web"
I get the message in the title when opening the Duolingo main page. Japanese for English used to be supported. Is this a bug or has the course been deactivated?
It's definitely a bug. I got the same message, but was able to access it by going to "add a course." It let me start a review session, but froze halfway through and sent me back to the "not yet supported" page.
I added Japanese from English as a new course and finished one lesson, but the user interface was nonstandard. After finishing the lesson, I was returned to the main page for Danish.
I have the same issue... I did some lessons an hour and a half ago and wanted to continue but got the message instead. Japanese is also gone from the dropdown menu with languages I'm learning... still in my profile and on the mobile version so not too worried yet... maybe they're updating something? *crosses thumbs*
It's a bug. I got the same message for Korean and I'm doing a lesson on my phone right now.
The message tells that the course is no longer supported on the web, which I interpret as the browser course intended for computer users. Availability on phone does not contradict this.
You asked, "...or has the course been deactivated?" By being able to use it on my phone, I am proving the course has not been deactivated.
That's the last time I try to help you, jerk.
