POLL: Which language do you want most on duolingo?
I've created a poll to see which language is wanted the most on duolingo.
(Please try to spell the name of the language correctly)
This poll will end January 8th. See the results then.
NOTE: If you leave your vote in the comments but not the form, I will pay no attention to it.
Please do not...
Enter stuff like "Armadillo" or "&*#%^!" You are wasting both our time and it's extremely annoying and not funny. I will not count these in the results.
Enter languages in the incubator (e.g Yiddish) or languages already here (e.g German) This is a poll asking which language you want to come to the Incubator, not which language you want to come out of the Incubator, or which language is your favorite on here.
Enter your email instead of your username in the "Username" slot.
Enter languages like Native American, Indian, Asian, etc, those languages do not exist and you will put my soul in agony. Any vote for one of those or something similar will not be discounted.
Submit all the languages you want at once, e.g "Latin, Thai, Finnish, Georgian, Afrikaans, and Zulu." Enter them each at different times.
Submit something multiple times just so it will win. That is disgusting, revolting, and horrific, and I hope no one here is doing that.
Enter your vote in all-caps just to express how much you want it or how many times you wish you could vote for it. That makes things way more confusing than they need to be.
NOTE: IF YOU BREAK ANY OF THESE, YOUR VOTE MIGHT BE DELETED
Finnish (14 votes)
Latin + Thai (2 votes each)
Bulgarian, Croatian, Cantonese, Georgian, Icelandic, Serbian, + Ojibwe = (1 vote each)
Total: 26 votes.
NOTE: Double-check your spelling, there are votes for Finnish, Finish, and FInnish, thai and Thai , Latin, LATIN, and latein, :)
Hello guys! Tomorrow I will be posting the results. I am closing the poll and if a user somehow manages to enter another vote (though I don't know how they would) I will ignore it. The votes will be counted today, though posted tomorrow.
(NOTE: I'm in EST, so if you live somewhere like Australia or Taiwan the results will come late for you.)
Some elementary school idiot entered "doge" in 38 times. I hope the user is reading this: That was idiotic, annoying, and not funny at all. All you did was waste 15 minutes of your time. Please, find a new hobby besides ruining things on this website. I deleted your responses.
Why would someone waste their time doing something so ridiculous, obnoxious, and rude like that? :-\
I voted for Bulgarian, Finnish, Maltese, Quechua, Sicilian and Thai.
Thank you :)
Quechua Is the language from Peru isn't it!
Not only Peru, but Bolivia, Ecuador and some parts of Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
Can you please clarify which dialect of Persian you mean? Or else I will just assume a dialect which may not be the one you meant.
I voted for: Cherokee, Icelandic, Finnish, Maltese, Ancient Egyptian. Of course any new language added to incubator makes me happy. But these are my top 5.
Fractal_Shadow, Please re-read my post, especially below, "Please do not do the following"
Thanks for voting!
It was a very difficult choice.
EDIT: A very, very, very, very difficult choice. They are both amazing languages.
EDIT 2: I decided to vote for Estonian too.
Yeah, I was going to do daily stats, but when I got on duolingo the next day and checked the poll to say the stats, I was shocked.
I voted for Kabardian. Sorry Finnish! (Chances are Finnish will come in the next few months, either way it's much more likely than Circassian...)
Whoa... There's a lot of languages I'd like to try on Duo! Arabic is already in the works so I didn't vote for it. My answer is: Cantonese, Thai, Latin, Blackfoot, Cherokee, Afrikaans, Finnish, Persian, Bengali (I once talked to someone in Bengali but I had to rely on online resources ).
I really hope this poll gets taken into account when creating new languages for the Incubator :)
If it was, hello Finnish!
If you're interested, You're number 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 189, 190, and 191 :)
Hey, Woof, please update the stats. I voted for Latin but the stats still haven’t changed.
I can't update the stats because there are 200+ votes. It's much easier for me to just wait until January 8th to post the final results. I'm sorry!
Thanks for voting! :)
voted for Musqueam. Classical Greek, Latin, and also Quenya because I am a gigantic nerd.
I'm actually really surprised at some of the votes here. Sure, I expected languages less requested, e.g , but I definitely didn't expect Mirandese and Breton and Gothic and a bunch of others.
(NO OFFENSE TO PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR THOSE LANGUAGES, I DID NOT INTEND TO BE RUDE OR OFFENSIVE.)
Hindi and Arabic are already in the Incubator. I said in the post, I'm not counting votes for languages already in the Incubator.
I have a question, I want Guarani to be avaible for English speakers, but it is already avaible for Spanish speakers. Anyway, can I submit it?
