Are we ever getting Latin?
As a beginning Latin student myself, I was wondering if there's a possibility for us to ever be able to learn Latin on here. It would be a tremendous help.

It depends on if a team starts working on it.
Actually it depends on Duolingo opening the language for development and then this. Finnish for English is the most requested language in all of Duolingo, has around 75+ able contributors willing to help build the course, and yet it's still not in development for reasons beyond the Discussions community's knowledge.

I had Latin in school and I found it really helpful after when I had to learn French, Spanish and Portuguese.
They're all related! Here is a tree showing the relations. Someone once gave me a paragraph in Latin and, while I couldn't read it all, I recognized quite a few of the words from my (admittedly limited) experience with Spanish.
Ever is a very long time, so I am going to take a chance and say yes.
I don't actually know how Duolingo chooses courses, I think Latin would be popular. Example, Finnish, I have been here since near the very beginning (on a previous account) and there has always been LOADS of support for Finnish, still no course.
