'Sobald ich schimmen gehe' = As soon as I swim. Then, 'geht es mir besser' = (roughly) 'I get better.'

Gotcha... That geht es/ es geht mir is always a tough one for me. Does anyone know if that comibination is mostly used to reference how a person is feeling?

"Sobald ich schimmen gehe" is also "as soon as I go swimming" in English - English has both verbs as well.

Geht es mir besser .... can I translate that as "it gets me better"?

Maybe "It's going better for me", as in "I am feeling better".
