The correct answer on the exercise page is "I search a lamp." This is not natural English. It means that I am inspecting or examining the lamp in order to find something.

They search the room. The policeman searches her car. The TSA agent searches my suitcase. I search the shop.

They search the room for clean clothes. The policeman searches her car for drugs. The TSA agent searches my suitcase for a bomb. I search the shop for a lamp.

They search for clean clothes. The policeman searches for drugs. The TSA agent searches for a bomb. I search for a lamp.

The closest English word to "zoek" would be, I believe, "seek," which is the same word, anyway, ultimately.

They seek clean clothes in the bedroom. The policeman seeks drugs in her car. The TSA agent seeks a bomb in my suitcase. I seek a lamp in the shop.

At the top of this Discussion page, yes. But on the exercise page, when I got it wrong, it said that the correct answer was "I search a lamp."
