Is there a way to view all of your posts or posted discussions?
I hadn't realized one had to click on "follow discussion" on one's own posted discussions, so I wouldn't know if anybody answered my previous questions prior to this.
Es ist sehr schade.
There is no way to see any discussions you have posted, and with the notification bell out of order, there is no easy way to check replies to your comments.
The email notifications of replies still work, right? Although that shows you all the replies in a thread (assuming you've clicked the button to recieve them...), I've found this quite handy to keep track of things. You can often tell from the comment whether it's a reply to your comment or something else. I've made my Duolingo emails go to a separate folder so they don't clog up my inbox.
I will definitely take your advice of setting up my e-mail account to sort out the incoming messages to a specific folder. Great idea that of organizing them into separate folders. I didn't even know one could set up those rules for incoming e-mails.
I use Hotmail, well now it's Outlook, but I will look into some tutorials on how to do that. Maybe the Mac Mail app offers that option, if not I will buy an app to help me with that. I definitely don't want Duo saturating my inbox.
Crazy how the more I learn about one thing, the more I realize the learning process has more ramifications that seem to never end, because one thing keeps leading me into other new ideas to be able to further understand what I was initially attempting.
Annika, by the way, I saw that on your profile you mention that you completed nine tree skills. So my question is, at what level does one achieve the completion of the language tree? So far I haven't completed any yet. :S
it is not optimal but you can try to search with google
e.x put that in the google search bar:
it may give you a result of all your posts...
Than you can narrow them down via Tools- change Any time to something which corresponds to the time when you have posted..
The Tools button is right under the search bar on the right side...
Excellent, I hadn't considered that clever idea.
About that "Tools" button you mention, would that be on Firefox, Chrome or are you utilizing a totally different web browser? Thanks for the tips, I appreciate the insight.
I am using Firefox, but it should be the same in every common browser because it's rendered from the HTML.
The button is just under the search bar on the result page, where you can find All - Images - Videos - etc. but on the very right end of that bar.
MichaPau - I'm as well a proud user of Firefox. But I guess not a very avid one, hadn't even noticed that function/button, just joking. Thanks.
It also makes sense why I thought you were cool. :P
Maughanster_ I notice both you and annika_a have a golden Duo with the same flag, what's the meaning behind that? I also have noticed that sometimes the statue has different flags wrapped around it, why is that so? Is it for completing certain number of languages or something the like?
You get a golden owl when you finish a tree, but mine has a Finnish flag, and Finnish is not yet on Duolingo; mine is mainly to show that I want Finnish on Duolingo.
Maughanster_ I like that silent way of protesting. Good job! We all would benefit from that course becoming a reality. Kudos to you and your language journey!
