What do we do with articles that have been completely translated? Does Duolingo put the translations somewhere when they're done? Am I supposed to do something with them and if so, what? Thanks.

No, you have to manually put into Wikipedia yourself. Here is a guide to do so http://duolingo.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_Move_Your_Document_from_Immersion_to_a_website

Also, most of the articles that are being translated already have corresponding translations, the community is working on a way to make it easier to access the articles that actually need translation.
