Subscribing to DuoLingo Plus broke the App

Duolingo was working fine, but after upgrading to plus the app will freeze after about 30 seconds or so.

It starts downloading lessons, and just freezes completely when it does that.

Paying for a service shouldn't make it non-functional. Can we remove my plus status so that it starts working again? And ideally refund my money?

Report it as a 'purchase issue' and DL ought to respond quickly.
