(Discussion) Weekly Incubator Update- Week 01, 2018
Different people do this every week, and I didn't see one in the discussions so far, so I decided to do it this week.

I'm so excited for the upcoming release of Hindi!!! I've been waiting for this language ever since I joined Duolingo!
Great to see that there are three new courses so close to completion. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at Hindi.
I'm bummed, though, that there are no new courses entering the incubator. I haven't been here since the beginning or anything, but I can't recall a stretch this long without new courses coming in. I know that everything is dependent on there being volunteers available, but I do miss the excitement of seeing multiple courses progress.
It's pretty evident that Duolingo likes to keep the number of courses in the incubator constant. Once the courses that are nearing completion "graduate," they will probably be replaced quickly.
No, not constant. The number's been dropping for a while. For example, a year ago there were 23 courses in phase 1 as opposed to the current 19. Two years ago, 29 courses.
Agreed. I check back every few hours, and I'm shocked to see the low number of comments.
I may be late in seeing this since I haven't checked the Incubator in months, but I'll say it anyways:
I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED FOR ARABIC!!!
Say what you will about Duolingo's methods, they work with my brain and I can't wait to add Arabic to my language list!
