I need help. What is the difference between the verbs connaitre and savoir? They both mean to know.

Hi Nathan, first off, think of connaitre as about a person you know, and savoir about a fact you know. As you get more into French you can use connaitre in certain cases to talk about familiarity with things (eg "il se connait en langues" - he is familiar with languages/he's good at languages), "connaissez-vous cette ville?", and gradually increase your understanding of the way both words can be used - that's when you'll really get hooked on the delights of the French language! (you'll have "savoir faire"!)

connaitre is know like : I know you. and savoir is know like: I know the information.
