"Posez le livre sur la table."

Translation:Put the book on the table.

January 9, 2018

I wrote "Put down the book on the table" and got counted wrong! Poser means to "put down", does it not? If I want to just say "put", shouldn't I use "Mettre?"

That word order sounds a little off in English. "Put the book down on the table" was avcepted

"...and nobody gets hurt!"

Wow. As a native English speaker you would think I would get this right. Neither "set" nor "place" the book seem to work. Is this a failing of duo or some nuance I am missing.?
