I don't see the point of making the conditional so complicated. It looks and means the same as the second conditional: If+Past Simple-> I would...

Yeah, I have a feeling the contributor who wrote these questions only knows the "If we were to go" construction and isn't aware of the much more common "If we went".

i think the "ni" ending refers to physical places whereas shule in this context might refer ti school as a more general concept
