In England, we do not tend to say roosters and cocks only refers to genitalia. The English tend to say cockrels

In Canada we would say roosters

I think no one but sniggering teenagers says "cocks" anymore.

Tybers is right. In the UK, you want to say "cockerels".

I am English. I was a teenager 50 years ago and I call them cocks. It is cock crow. Not rooster crow or cockerel crow. There are weathercocks. I have not heard of a weather rooster or a weather cockerel.

When I was a lad, my grandfather kept chickens. A cockerel was a young cock.

I would also think "rooster" is the better translation
