Motivation comes from within, so it's basically up to you. What inspired you to learn German? Think about that. Also, concentrate on building a vocabulary, learning German word order, and lastly grammar. That's how you learned your native language. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, it's part of the learning process. All the best! Alles Gute!

Just keep going. Not every day is easy, that's just normal. Strive, persistent, follow your target. There is no secret.

I was in EXACTLY the same spot as you around level 9. That's when I started picking up extra languages, to mix it up. I really wanted more social interaction on here, to try to keep motivated, but there's not a lot of that built in. So I told my mom to join so I could compete with her a little bit. But, I find it's helpful to have other languages, so you can compete with yourself. Ever since I started more languages, all of a sudden I feel super motivated to "beat myself" if I level up in one language. I want to level up in the other ones... like it's a race. That probably sounds ... crazy. But it's working for me.

Motivation is like a wave. It will come and go. You can use it to spur you on, but for only so long. That's when discipline kicks in. You have to keep paddling along. Every once in a while a new "wave" will help give you a little push, ever continuing towards your goal. Just keep pushing on. The reward will come.

Arrange for a visit to Germany, you will find yourself motivated to learn teh language to go there and practice it. Alternativley, you can have a frined, or be it me and practyice German with, then we will both find an added dimension to our learning German :-) thanks Hanna
