My levels on Mac and phone / ipad are not the same - how do I sync them?

Probably, you have made two accounts.
You cannot sync them. You have to use the same username and password on all your devices.

In general:
You have to click on "I already have an account" instead of "Get started"

Solution:

  • log out the account with the lowest levels
  • log in with the username and password, which belong to the account with the highest levels.

Web version (www.duolingo.com) and the Android App

From the home page
- click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen
- click on "I already have an account" instead of "Get started"
- then you see the "Sign in" screen
- log in with the same username and password as you used in the account with the highest levels.

iOS App

In the IOS App it is more complicated.
From the home page:

  • go to the clubs tab
  • touch "profile"
  • then touch "settings"
  • log in with the same username and password as you used in the account with the highest levels..

I cleared my history, cookies etc on Mac which caused the problem I think...
