"Er is een lange rij voor de kassa."
Translation:There is a long line for the checkout counter.
Please let me know the difference in pronunciation between "kassa" and "kassier". Thank you.
- Kassa: /ˈkɑsa/
- Kassier: /kɑsi:r/
- Caissière (feminine form of "kassier"): I do not have the IPA for this one
- Kassière (feminine form of "kassier"; less common) I don't have the IPA for this one either
Note there is barely a difference between "caissière" and "kassière". Normally, the French form ("caissière") is pronounced a bit like how the French would, but with adding a schwa at the end. You cannot hear this in this sound file (I actually think they just used the same file).
