Can you use "Quel est le probleme" or Qu'est-ce que le probleme"

Quel est le problème - should also be accepted!

So in effect: "What do you have", is that right? Can't one put it impersonally, as "What is the matter out there?"

You can use an impersonal construction, like "qu'est-ce qui se passe ?" (what's happening/going on/up?)

That was my guess -- not accepted.

I am confused by dont really know why but part of the reason is understanding how to structure formal and informal questions. Especially in the case where either question follow the same pattern

this is a bunk sentence. my answer - qu'est-ce que le problèm. Their corrected answer -Qu'est-ce qui te prend ? Sorry confusing and lame lame lame. Oh but i do LOVE duolingo. But again lame.

My response: "qu'est-ce qui se passe" was marked incorrect. Why?
