I put "He lives over me" and it was marked as incorrect. Does anyone know why?

Do you really say "He lives over me" when you describe that someone lives in the floor above you? I never heard this (but Im not a native english native, so this is a genuine question).

Yes, "He lives over me" is quite common in American English.

I would also say: "he lives over me".
