Duolingo Review 中文评论

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Overall I think it is quite good for learning new words, but it should be used as a supplemental tool rather than a main one.

It is still in beta though! Maybe they will introduce more depth?

Your Chinese is quite good. Also, good subtitles. Any books in Chinese do you recommend to beginners?

The web version shows it is out of beta. I hope to hear the future plan from the contributors.

I used New Practical Chinese Reader for textbooks, which I thought were quite nice.

I have also used the HSK 1-6 books, which are also well-made but in my opinion a little too geared towards the HSK test (vocal might get less relevant as you move up in level).

The New Practical Readers are definitely a well made series, especially for new learners. There's also always the more old-school 对外汉语本科系列教材 by the same publishers (if you can put up with the low-quality illustrations) or Nankai University's 基础汉语, though for mid-intermediate levels Erya Chinese is one of the best.

I noticed you used "西班牙文" instead of "西班牙语" in your video; are your friends learning written Spanish specifically?

Duolingo is definitely not enough to learn Chinese, maybe it's even useless. I didn't have any problems with Norwegian though.

As a native Chinese I find it is not so precise in some translation, your expression is right in my opinion.
