The Afrobeats genre in French music has been pretty big lately, and for good reason. The songs are catchy and the artists are extremely talented. Here are some of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05UwEIrRj48 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X3U3ryI5e0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuXaPB_KWg8

And here's a couple pop songs (relatively new) that are pretty good (Last one is mostly french with some Spanish mixed in)

First and Second link not working.

Really? That's strange because it's working on my end. The first song is Intuition by Dadju and the second is Fuego by Aya Nakamura (feat Dadju) if you wanted to check them out :)

Les Soeurs Boulay, kinda folky.. and I also like Coeur du Pirate. I find spotify has same nice francophone playlists, that’s how I discover music.

I really like Louane, in a lot of her songs the lyrics are easy to understand and catchy, so you can easily sing along if you wish to (that's really helpful for pronunciation). :)

Camille, Souad Massi, Tryo ...

Check out the Song of the Day thread. Its a super eclectic mix of French music. It's a great introduction to different types of French music. The Duolinger (groscochon) who put it together also the put music in a centralized spreadsheet for better access. All the artists I could offer to you are artists that I got off that list. Bonne chance!

I recommend lyricstraining.com. There are a number of artists to choose from. Songs are played and you pick out words for the song to continue. There are 4 levels of difficulty. Personally, I like the a number of the songs by Zaz.

SOS by Indila is one of my favorites. There's also Je T'aime by Kelley sweet but it doesn't have a whole lot of french, just a little.

here are some of the songs on my playlist that i enjoy: soleil, soleil by pomme, je te laisserai des mots by Patrick Watson, any song by Videoclub is a bop but my favourite are roi, enfance 80, and amour plastique. Charles Trenet's Disque d'or album is pretty good (it's vintage French), besame mucho (in french) and que reste-t-il de nos amours by Avalon Jazz Band, tous les garcons et les filles (slow) by Francoise Hardy, rouge by Yseult, Caroline by Igit, chaise pliante, pt. 4 by HATIK, sympathique by pink martini (the french in this one is clear so its a good one for learning although keep in mind it is Quebec french), la vie en rose by Edith Piaf is a classic, twisted mind by Paupiere

Try Polo & Pan. "Cœur d'artichaut" and "Aqualand" are cool ;)
