email for duolingo support

Is there an email address I can use to send a question to the folks that run duolingo? It's not in the nature of a bug.

Duolingo, being a free product, has a very small staff and does not offer customer support.

You could ask your question here in the forums, though.

Huh. First time I've seen a mod specifically state that Duolingo doesn't have customer support. It's kind of obvious that it doesn't if you've been around a while, but I've never seen it explicitly stated.

And it's a mistake that it doesn't. Big mistake.

I've since been corrected by a staff member. They DO have people dedicated to support, and they are the ones who help out when you report abuse.

Recently, when I try and type in any foreign language, Duolingo also includes the english counterpart letter.

I thought the app was great, but now it’s so hard to get health that I end up being pretty grumpy when I’m trying to practice and get kicked because of a 1 letter jump on the keyboard or autocorrect.

The letters in my duolingo app got much smaller after an update. Is there a way to make them bigger again? I am using ipad mini with ios 8.0. I wonder if anybody else is having the same problem. The letters of the scrambled words that you build up an answer from seem to have very small letters.

I have completed 5 lessons of the 30 in Infinitives 2. The audio, especially the female voice, is very bad and the only way I coplete a lesson is by guessing and then noting the correct result. I feel I'm wasting my time. I realise that this is a free course but can something not be done to improve the audio?

I had the same with my Japanese lessons. Not quite as bad as you though. Level 4 back to 1. About the same time as you too. Very frustrating. Trying to find an answer here. However when I open it on my laptop it's at level 4 still.

Duolingo marks me as wrong for answering, "Thank you. Good night"' instead of "Thanks. Good night". Also marked me wrong for putting, "Goodbye. Good night." It says the correct answer is, "Bye. Good night." Also, although "mucho gusto" is used for "Pleased to meet you", the literal translation is, "much pleasure". Im gonna be needing to find me a different Spanish learning app.

    I took Spanish in high school and can assure you that "mucho gusto" does mean "pleased to meet you". There are plenty of things in plenty of languages that aren't translated literally. (Especially if you study Irish, as that has a completely different word order.)

    "Je bois un café." IS NOT "I drink A coffee." in English! Beginning about 35 years ago, European and other immigrants to England brought with them "A COFFEE," incorrectly translating from their own languages, in which it is correct to say "A COFFEE." British people, constantly bombarded with this incorrect translation, adopted it. However, in ENGLISH, we drink SOME coffee, NOT A Coffee, as is done in Spanish and French. Although Brits may use A COFFEE, no one else in the English speaking world does.

    I have just successfully tested out of the level 5 in Portuguese conditional verbs, and got only 20xp instead of 450xp as it had been promised. Has anyone here encountered the same problem, and if yes, how have you managed it?

    Every place has customer support-you are liars! Stop hiding behind your ineptness! Stop beta testing every 5 minutes! I literally watched my French tree go from normal to "new" and back again in a matter of 15 minutes! WTF are you doing?? The screen literally flipped. As I was attempting to figure out how I lost-yes lost-my previous work (don't call it something else) the tree flipped back. If I have worked thru almost half the tree and now I only have 10 completed bubbles-that's messed up. THAT'S not showing a student their progress-that's deflating their appearance of progress! I know what I am talking about. I have a masters degree in instructional design and training. This is what's called "not prepared to go live".

    Oh by the way-when I try to type in a foreign language within my club-your system does not allow it. It allows English but not French or German. How do I practice dialogue if you LITERALLY delete 1 single foreign word I type?? Why don't you focus on consistent service across the globe. Why do I have speaking & listening capabilities and my husband does not? The options for listening and speaking are not even options offered under Settings-yes-we already checked.... I'd love to receive answers from a person. My concerns are not listed on your customer support page.

    Hi there. I recently started basic Italian and my microphone seemed to work okay. But right now whenever I try to speak to answer a question, I get immediately ignored and the red flag comes up!     I thought that duolingo plus was 6.99 for 12 months. But I got an email saying that I was going to be charged the entire amount? I want to keep duolingo free and was thrilled about having plus just for my own benefit but I really wish that they would have specified that it would be one payment. How are we to get our refund if we cancel at any time if they are charging us all at once? How is there no customer support? I work in customer service, and I recommend duo to EVERYONE. But we need some way to ask questions directly and get a response in a timely fashion.

    Hubsy6-go to your settings and try turning off different audio features. You may have to turn off all of them. I know how annoying it can be!
