"Avoir un homme" is translated as "have a man", as far as I know it should be "to have a man" as "avoir" is infinitive

you are right, although I have noticed on this site that the exact expression of the English infinitive form often appears without "to"

that it appears on this site does not make it right. Dictionaries are rather strict about it
