FoundCAT - An alternative to Duolingo Immersion
As you may know, Duolingo Immersion was discontinued a while ago. Since then we have developed a new, open-source platform for translating creative commons content such as Wikipedia.
FoundCAT is currently available for translating from English or German into any of over 150 languages and it is free to use. Here's FoundCAT:
We are also working to upload the code onto GitLab here:
FoundCAT was developed at the FH Aachen as part of an open source education project.
You are all welcome to join us.
Kind regards, Gary Evans, FoundCAT founder.
Thanks for the tip Hugh. I am in contact with the founders of Translatihan and hope to work with them and others in the future. FoundCAT differs in that it is an open-source project, which is closely based on Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tools. It offers a translation memory (TM), a term base, or glossary (TB) and access to multiple machine translation offers (MT).
