"Kan jij de vieze kleren in de wasmachine stoppen?"
Translation:Can you put the dirty clothes in the washing machine?
Does this question mean both, are you allowed to put dirty clothes in the washing machine and please may you put the dirty clothes in the washing machine?? Or not?
It's just asking nicely if the person, "jij/you," is willing to put the dirty clothes in the washer. I guess "alsjeblieft/please" could be added at the end of either sentence. It has nothing to do with being "allowed" to. In that case, Dutch would use "mogen."
