Learning your first language

When I joined Duolingo was the first time I intensely studied a language. I knew of few words here and there of other languages but nothing substantial. I've never tried to learn one before except for one time I borrowed a language cd of fifty words from the library.

I got that moment recently when I was like, "I'm actually learning a language!" when watching a video in Hebrew. That moment when it wasn't just foreign but some language you actually understood. It wasn't that I knew much, but that I connected with what I did know. I was sure about it. It wasn't like I know that word, but it's still hazy in my brain because I don't know it well. I was sure of it and it was reality.

It's that moment when wow, the language is yours in life besides all that typing and learning and reviewing in Duolingo.

I once started to type a word in the target language instead of English, I laugh so hard when I realized what I have done. Another time I mange to do the 2-3 first skills of a tree in "test out" mode, where less than 3 months prior I knew nothing about the targeted language.

The mind must have an inherent ability to learn.
