Is that conjugation table for suivre correct? "I am" and "I follow" are both "Je suis" in French?

"Je suis" is the only common between verbs "suivre" and "être", all other persons are different.

  • je suis , tu es, il/elle/on est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils/elles sont
  • je suis, tu suis, il/elle/on suit, nous suivons, vous suivez, ils/elles suivent

Je suis means "I follow" and "I am" in french. Depending on the context, you'd know what it means.

Can I say, "je suis" in response to someone to say that I am following him or I understand what he's saying like we use in English?
