I started this course because they say it’s really similar to English and German, two languages that I’m already familiar with. I’ve also been very interested in the Netherlands for a long time! Wish me luck, everyone!

Good luck! I've been at it for 3 months now, and I'm still enjoying it. Lots of words that are similar or the same as in English! Word order is a pain to figure out but you'll get there eventually, keep at it!

Enjoy! I started on Jan 1 and have studied every day. Actually I bought one or two "streak freezes", I think, for days when instead of doing the lesson I printed out and reviewed the grammar notes below the lessons instead. For a long time I missed seeing the grammar notes - they're very useful! I'm familiar with Afrikaans and English and I find Dutch has the grammar and vocabulary of the former, but often a pronunciation closer to the latter. It's been lots of fun learning.

Did you find a way to print/download all the notes at the same time? or just each course separately? They are indeed very useful!

Wow! Grammar notes at the bottom of the lessons? I missed that. I’ll have to have a look!

I just started Dutch as well! I started it because it was very close to English, my dominant language. So far, it is very easy to learn and comprehend. Hope you have fun!

It is definitely fun, and also very interesting! It has nice connection with the English language, which is not mijn moedertaal but makes it easier for me to learn Dutch from English than from my first language. Veel succes ook voor jou!
