Looking for a Polish grammar book.
I wanted to know if someone knows a good Polish grammar book with all the explinations, but in one place. Something like "Teach grammar yourself". Thank You in advance.
Two that I have found helpful are
"Basic Polish" (Bielec) and
"Colloquial Polish" (Mazur).
Both books have exercises with the answers in the back of the book, which is really useful.
On-line you can find grammar explanations at

You are welcome :)
My suggestion is to check your local library. My city's public library has a small selection of Polish grammar books. At the moment, I have checked out "Polish Verbs and Essentials of Grammar" by Oscar E. Swan.
I have just bought this book second hand on Amazon and I can highly recommend it. It explains grammar in way that I find easy to understand and helps to show pronunciation of difficult words by using similar sounds of English words.
Great suggestion. And if your local library has no polish books, check to see if they have in interlibrary loan program. I have found many foreign language books and dvd's that way.
I'm using "Grammar in a nutshell" : http://www.placedauphine.net/random/PolishGrammar.pdf
