There's a New Moderator in Town
Please welcome fveldig onto the Norwegian forum moderation team!
Fveldig is a long-standing contributor to the course, and has also been putting in long hours answering your questions in the sentence discussions.
Today, he was given moderator rights to this sub-forum, which means that he will be helping Luke and I with keeping the discussions tidy. You may not see it, but we do quite a bit of house cleaning every day, to make sure you can get the answers you need without wading through a sea of clutter.
So, what will change? Nothing much. You'll keep benefiting from fveldig's native knowledge, while having an even tidier forum and sentence discussions. Heldiggriser! :)
When you first become a mod, does your circle become green and the later it turns gold.
No, the colour depends on your permissions. It's a little complicated, because people can be both forum moderators and course moderators, but this is how it works:
host = green
educator = green
sub-forum(s) moderator = green
course contributor = green
global moderator = gold
course moderator = gold
admin (paid staff) = blue
Any combination of those roles, results in the colour of the highest status position, so my golden ring comes from being a course moderator. If I had been only a Norwegian and Troubleshooting forum moderator, it would have been green.
Fveldig is both a sub-forum moderator and a course contributor, so he's double-green.
do you, luke and fveldig have facebook accounts or instagram or anything we can follow? we like you people and we're curious who are you
As a moderator I believe I should point out that sharing of personal information is not allowed according to the Duolingo guidelines.
That said, Duolingo has a feature allowing you to follow any other person, which you can do by clicking on their username to go to their profile where you'll find a small green button with the lettering "follow" :)
