Music

Hi Everyone! I am currently learning Spanish, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on any Spanish music that would be helpful to listen to that isn't very hard to understand. Thanks!

Hard to advise as level 5 is still only the start .However there's another site called Zambombazo which is written by an American teacher and is a language learning site aimed at schoolkids mainly but covers all things popular such as films and music and does lessons also. Have a look here and it may be a useful site to use as you progress down the tree,

Good luck

Right then, three Spanish groups are Amaral , La Oreja de van Gogh and la Quinta Estacion - all three play pop songs which are quite catchy and will provide you with plenty of useful vocab.

Good luck

"Despacito"

You probably have heard of the song name at least, but it's in Spanish. It might be a little fast but if you listen to it on repeat, you'll catch on to the meanings and eventually you'll understand the inner workings of the song.

I don't know very many Spanish songs, but this is a 13 episode show intended for English speaker learning Spanish: : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dfb9-ZTCA-E&list=PLLVULqsElvki_riI1ld0QhZJx1wom5Ply It is very easy to follow along and is also quite funny! Hope it helps. :)

Lyricstraining.com also has a great variety of Spanish music, with Spanish subtitles. I also find great Spanish music playlists on spotify, in all genres. Right now I love Melendi, his lyrics are beautiful.

I have a classroom for Spanish learners. The code is YVKPEY. I am also learning Spanish, so we can help each other. I assign homework once a week and it is very easy. Just make sure you do it every week or you will get kicked out.

That sounds really cool! I will join. Is there a lot of people on it? Just one question, what type of classroom? Is it Google Classroom, or some other app? I use Google Classroom at school, so that's the only Classroom I know about. Sorry I don't know
