English to Japanese Course Forum
Please share ideas for improvements and tips for the course to help others learn Japanese more efficiently. I especially would like Japanese and Chinese speakers give input about the way kanji is taught. Thank you!
Kanji should be taught earlier. There are homophones in Japanese eg hashi. 箸/橋 look a lot nicer, and kanji saves space too. I find it harder to read Japanese only written in kana, but kanji has cons too. The only drawback to kanji is that I confuse it with the Chinese reading because I'm a native Chinese speaker, so I think they should have kanji with furigana.
