Pół na pół - A New Polish Vocabulary Learning Game
I would like to introduce Pół na pół (fifty-fifty), a Polish vocabulary language learning game where beginners of all ages learn vocabulary by matching words with descriptive images.
The game consists of twenty-four topics with over 450 words for A1/A2 and B1 CERF language learners, and four fun word-image games: Fifty-Fifty, Multiple Choice, Matching and Spelling. Pronunciation of vocabulary is included.
The game is now available for testing on Android and iOS, and I would be very grateful for any feedback. To download the game for free, please sign up here. Shortly afterwards (within a working day) you'll receive an email from Apple/Google how to download the game. More information about Pół na pół can be found here.
When learning vocabulary, I was frustrated by error-prone language A to language B mappings and craved something more visual and fun. My goal for Pół na pół was to utilize images to remove the risk of incorrect/misleading translations, while the words are spoken to help pronunciation. I feel that the game could be quite useful for beginners looking to widen their vocabulary.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message and I look forward to your feedback.
NOTE There are already fantastic app resources for learning Polish (such as Duolingo and Tinycards) that Pół na pół does not intend to compete with or supplement. Instead it is simply a fun way to casually improve one's vocabulary.
