Admin rights in language club transferred to another person
My name is Ruslana, my username is rusyaaa. I was the administrator of my Norwegian language club called Egg Egg (code KDA283). Yesterday I left it by mistake and my admin rights transferred to another person. Is it possible to restore my admin rights somehow?
Thank you, Ruslana.
Hi Ruslana, unfortunately I do not think we can do that so easily. Do you mind sharing what happened that caused the accidental leaving? The clubs are set to automatically set a new admin, and I am interested in knowing if it was a bug that kicked you out or if you hit a specific button or link accidentally.
time for some club coding improvements, isn't it? ;)
Why can't there be e.g one backup admin, if the main admin has to leave for vacation, get's ill, etc.?
For an admin it is way too simple to e.g kick out members just by scrolling in the user dashboard list.
Ever heard of IRC servers?
You can register a channel with a username and password, and you can always regain admin OP / channel OP just by registering your username.
Before there were registered channels, it was possible to install a bunch of Eggdrop bots to send commands (like API) and "maintain" your own channel.
Why should it not be possible for a "club-owner/creator", to regain club admin status by sending "admin API commands" with the registered owner password?
Hi. I hit "leave club" button by accident. And then came back to the club using club's code. Thankfully, it wasn't public for the moment. My admin rights transferred to another person who was the winner of the leaderboard. Is there anything you can do or I have to win the leaderbord this week and somehow convince this person to leave and come back to the club? Also there are some problems with newsfeed in the club. All of the member's activities hasn't been showing since last week. Is it some glitch? Should I update my android app?

Probably, your club is in an awful A/B test.

Could you tell us by what mechanism the new admin is chosen? I could not find a definitve answer thus far. Further: Is there any way for an admin to transfer his status to another member?
I have never seen an answer to this and I've seen a number of people in need of better control over who the admin is. Seems to be random and you are stuck with the new admin, which might mean having to form a new group with a suitable admin, as we had to do.
Ok, you didn't help at all, so I had to create a new club and invite people to come along. I guess, this discussion is closed and there's no problem anymore.
Sadly, that's what we had to do when we lost our admin that got automatically replaced by an inactive member so we had nobody to manage the club.
I am having a similar situation. It came to my attention this morning that I am the Admin of a German club. (Surprise!) In addition to that, the club is currently showing 51 members (the cap is supposed to be 15?)
