In English we often omit the and and would say, -I need one hundred twenty-two pesos.- I think this should be acceptable.

It should be preferred, not just acceptable.

No one who speaks English says one hundred and twenty two pesos unless for emphasis

Twenty-two is written with a hyphen.

No one who isn't retarded says "one hundred and twenty-two". It's "one hundred twenty-two." The "and" is completely unnecessary. Get your stuff together, Duo.

I would say the "and" is common outside the US.

Not just unnecessary, it's technically incorrect

True. When expressing numbers in English the use of "and" is only correct when used where a decimal would be i.e. three hundred dollars and twenty one cents.
