Why are you people downvoting this? I'm asking a question!
How do you say "dirt bike race" or "supercross race" in Spanish? I'm going to one this weekend, and I was just curious. :)
I'm so tired of posting a discussion and seeing people downvote it. You guys probably don't even read it before you downvote it. You know, if you downvote everything you see, good or bad, people are eventually going to stop posting discussions. Then where will you be without people to hate on?? Just saying.
Don't worry about the trolls , you keep doing what you like to do and what you want to do and enjoy " la carrera de motocross" on the weekend. P.S no te acerques mucho a la pista !
Personally, I check discussion boards, and if there is anything unjustly downvoted, I always vote it back up.
I don't know why this would get downvotes. You are in the upvote position as I write. Sometimes you will get a couple because there seem to be people who spend their time downvoting everything that is posted. Don't let that bother you. That's why they are called trolls. It is not a compliment!
Also, when you want to know how to say something in Spanish, try SpanishDict. I find it right on for almost any translation.
I don't know if this is just me dreaming up things, but it seems to me some people post spam but don't know that it is consider spam (for example a post to discuss with their friends as an attempt to use the forums for social media purposes). When their posts get downvoted, they get frustrated and downvote other people's posts as "revenge".
I don't know if that's a real thing or just me.....
Thank you so much!! And, yes, I use SpanishDict quite a lot. I just wanted to make sure that it was the same.
on the other hand it would be useful if they had a different kind of post in order to ask for terms / definitions - thus you can stick on a custom dictionary without having to search all the forum and would also avoid downvoting when you really want to find out a new word
I only down vote people if they are asking things non language related and won’t listen to my warnings. But they usually do. I hardly ever down vote, but people are always down voting! So I get it
I didn't downvote, but I can see if people get annoyed when someone is asking for a simple translation. It would be easy and quicker for you to go to Google translate and get it there, instead of here.
I'm not quite sure why anyone would vote down a language-related question, but I will vote down a moan, something I disagree with or an irrelevant comment in the language section.
