帮助 vs. 帮
What is the difference between:
帮助 and 帮?
感觉 and 觉得?
Why isn't there 你的 between 注意 and 身 in 你要注意身体健康? How does one know whether you should take care your own body or someone else's?
你要注意身体健康= You should pay attention to your body's health.
As a native speaker, most of us would say 保重. You can choose to ignore the possessive in this case.
For 帮助 and 帮, you'll find that this happens with a lot of verbs, actually. Many have single character versions and two form variants. Generally, the two character versions sound a bit more formal as their meaning is more specific, whereas the single character words may have a couple different meanings depending on context.
(I'm really not a professional I'm just a Chinese guy, these are just what come in my mind once I see your questions) 2. 帮助可以用作名词(帮助can be used as a noun)：我需要你的帮助（✔️） 但是帮不可以用作名词(帮can't be used as a noun)：我需要你的帮（❌） 如果做动词的话帮助更书面/正式一点。(if 帮助 is used as a verb it's more formal and serious, or more common in written language i guess, it's not as frequently used as 帮 nowadays, generally)。ep. 你帮助过我 ep. 你帮过我（这样用就比较口语，比较随意了）(It's more casual. Chinese use this most often.) 3. examples: 我感觉这个挺好的 我觉得这个挺好的(both are fine and mean the same: "I think this is good". it's exchangeable when expressing your opinions) 但是感觉可以当名词，觉得只能是动词。 (But 感觉 can be either a verb or a noun, while 觉得 can only be a verb) 我的感觉是对的！（✔️）("My feelings are correct!/My instincts are correct!") 我的觉得是对的！（❌）(makes no sense) 4. 因为当一个人说“你要注意身体健康”的时候，他仅仅是在跟一个人讲话。 或者说，说“你要注意身体健康”这句话是有前提条件的，它只用在你想要对 一个人 的健康表示关心时。 Because when a person says “你要注意身体健康”, the person is only talking to “你“, who is the other person in the conversation. In other words, there's a condition to when“你要注意身体健康” is used, ONLY when you want to express you want somebody specifically (just one person) to take care of himself/herself. So no one thinks you might be talking to someone else.
