Warum kann ich nicht "glauben" benutzen?


"glauben" really means "to believe". You can say "Ich glaube (...)" for "I think (...) [it's Monday / I'll go swimming today / he's a liar]", it's actually used more often than "Ich denke (...)"; but if the sentence is only "She thinks.", then it's not about thinking/believing/assuming something, but about the actual thinking (processing thoughts in your mind), and that's not "glauben", it's "denken" or "nachdenken".
