in the match the pairs exercise there is one lowercase members (matching with Mitglieder) and one uppercase (Mitgliedern) and they don't match interchangeably

can someone explain what's the difference between "members" and "Members"?

There is no difference between "members" and "Members" in English, by right they should be both without capitals... and they should work interchangeably for "Mitglieder" and "Mitgliedern". So it is a bug if they don't.

The real question should be: What is the difference between "Mitglieder" and "Mitgliedern".

Mitglieder is a plural form of the noun "Mitglied". "Mitglieder" is either in nominativ or in accusative if it's used in it's indeterminate form. If it's used in it's determinate form add to that genitv as well.

Mitgliedern is also a plural form of the noun "Mitglied". "Mitgliedern" is either in genitiv or in dativ if it is used in it's indeterminate form. If it's used in it's determinate form then it's in dativ.
