what is the difference between "im" and "in"?
"im" is a contraction of "in dem", and most nations are used without an article. It would be different if it was "Mein Haus ist im Vereinigten Königreich", "... im Irak", "... in der Türkei" or "...in den Niederlanden" and some others.
Can I say "mein Haus legt in Frankreich"?
