Chinese Keyboard Usage (iOS app)

I've got the Chinese (traditional) keyboard installed but I can't seem to make use of it with the DuoLingo app. I recall it appearing once when I rotated my phone when I was using it in landscape view but I can't seem to get it to show up again.

Does anyone have any suggestions / advice with this?

Thanks in advance :)

An explanation perhaps. I've got a Chinese keyboard installed on my laptop. I needed it when I signed on to learn English as a Chinese speaker (before Duolingo offered Chinese for English speakers). Now that Duo offers Chinese for English speakers I'm doing both programs. They are very different from each other. The Chinese for English speakers program doesn't use a Chinese keyboard. I'm not sure if both programs are available on mobile devices, but I imagine that if they are, there too only the English for Chinese speakers uses a Chinese keyboard. Someone else may have a better explanation.

Doing Chinese for English speakers you CAN use keyboard input for Chinese OR the wordbank being provided when Chinese is needed.

Yes, I wanted to know how to replace the word bank with Chinese keyboard input but I don't know how to enable it on the iOS app.

fremanolas, are you saying that when I do the Chinese for English-speakers on my laptop I should be able to use the Chinese keyboard? If yes, can you tell me how to do that?

When you come across a sentence in English to be translated into Chinese Duolingo provides you with the word bank. At the bottom you can click "USE KEYBOARD".

Obviously you need to have Chinese keyboard input installed which you can easily add both in Windows (no admin rights needed) or Linux (I don't know about Mac).

I guess I was enjoying the word bank so much I never noticed the USE KEYBOARD option. Thank you for this, fremanolas
