Do cocoa beans grow on Qo'noS? Or do Klingons use something else to make chocolate?

Why, thank you. :0) <- This face just doesn't look right in the Klingon discussions!

Nope. This has never been explained.

This doesn't seem like it should be in this lesson. Other than this, everything is "the letter q" and such (or the word for "word", but that seems less inappropriate).

We were trying to create words for you to practice the sounds, but it became too cluttered, especially since there is no audio. We removed a bunch of the words, but left a few good ones. I can see how yuch seems out of place, but it's such a good word.

Yeah, I assume that "chocolate" as such would only be an Earth thing... I wonder if there's anything in Trek lore to explain why it isn't a loan word like "chaqIlIt" or something

My theory is that early on, some human tried gagh, and said "Yuck!". The Klingon who heard that assumed that "yuck" was the Terran word for "something that tastes great".
