Translation:Who is currently the tallest person in the world?
Except when said by the second tallest person in the world who just killed the record holder. Mirror, mirror on the wall...
Now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious summer by this sun of York...
I think "currently" at the end of the sentence would sound better in English even though that's not exactly what the Chinese is saying.
Currently, the tallest living person in the world is Sultan Kösen, measured to be 251 cm (about 8' 3") tall: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/hall-of-fame/sultan-kosen-tallest-living-man
And the tallest person to have ever lived is Robert Wadlow, who was measured to be 272 cm (8' 11") tall: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/hall-of-fame/robert-wadlow-tallest-man-ever
Who is the world's tallest person now? And, why do I feel like a mental midget on this tree?
This would sound more natural if it was "Right now, who is the tallest person in the world?" I think.
