Practice on Crown system
I'm using the crown system and I've noticed that the "practice" option doesn't help to increase the crown levels.
Is it a bug?
I am protesting the Crown system. I hit the practice button once a day. My crown level never changes. I hate the Crown system and hope they notice.
I'd like to know that as well, I believe it should improve crown levels on the topics included in the practice.
Practice works exactly as it did before, but it no longer has a visual effect on your tree. This means that while practice helps you review and strengthen words that need it, it does not level up skills or unlock new content by doing it. This was the case before Crowns as well.
We want to replace this with something more satisfying in the future.
It's a pity. I liked hitting Practice and getting tasked with a semi-random set of things to do. I didn't have to choose anything in particular, and got rewarded with progress bars and golden icons. And I could sometimes get two or more skills trained at the same time!
I remember that I used 'strengthen' a lot, and: 1. it affected the percentage of fluency! 2. I could use it to golden the lessons back again.
Please I would also urge the team to give the 'practice' more consideration.
Because: - practice on the web, does not improve the tree; - practice on the app, does not improve the tree; - on the web, selecting a course, and completing it improves the tree; - on the app, selecting a course, and completing it improves the tree AND gives up to 5 experience points.
Shouldn't all these different practices award the same things, speaking of language learning ?
Thanks a lot!
Which means the lessons/algorithims are different. It would be nice to have something to show for your practice besides XPs.
Agree with antthonyyyy; I used the generic strengthen/practice to golden up the skills. It seemed like it just picked a random skill or 2 and gave sentences from that.
Would love it to do something similar with the crowns.
It makes no sense whatsoever that completing a practice session counts for nothing. Why wouldn’t it build experience and, over time, crown levels?
I too really like having practice button suggest skills which I need to reinforce, but it’s quite unsatisfying if that reinforcement counts for nothing in measuring progress.
