If sound means that much to you, you can copy and paste things into https://hol.kag.org/sentence/ or look for an app named {boQwI'}.

Qapla'! Have a lingot!

I was looking for something like this. Thanks.

There's no estimated time for sound to be available on the Klingon course.

We thought it would be better to let people who had been waiting so long for the course already to give it a try before the sound was ready rather than wait for the integration.

Perhaps we should have waited longer. (It would probably have made the difficulties with capital i and small L easier, at least.)

It's nice to have the course now, even if it isn't perfect with pronunciation and everything. This way, we can get nice surprises more times!

I agree. Even without sound, I am finding the course very interesting and lot of fun. I am very happy that it is out now.

I can't do it without sound. Plus, this is a language that brings its own join through its speaking. Please get this done.

The Duolingo administration decided not to provide audio for the Klingon course. The Contributors and Moderators would love to add it, but at this time, we do not expect it to be added. There is a Skill a little bit into the course which teaches the names of the Klingon letters and has a description of the pronunciations in the Tips & Notes, however, that skill also lacks audio.

If you want to check out some ideas for learning the pronunciation, check out the thread at: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/26605745

If you want to read about the other known issues in this course, read the post at: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/26778885

And finally, the only way I know of to complain to the administration about the lack of audio on this course is to file a bug report: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/articles/204728264-How-do-I-report-a-bug-

My understanding is that if there is enough interest, they will make audio (i.e. enough users using the language).

Where did you get the 3/4 number? Klingon was made different other ways than just pronunciation, such as OVS verb order. I would expect it would be a part of the course after it's out of beta though, or maybe when they have a good time to do it. There are other ways to learn how to pronunce Klingon, the Klingon Language Institute has a good way of teaching that. https://www.kli.org/about-klingon/sounds-of-klingon/

Errr, I don't know man. The contributors said that in beta, there won't have any sound.

Unfortunately Duolingo now thinks that audioless courses are sufficient and therefore courses must become popular and earn sound https://www.duolingo.com/comment/26598348 Even though sound would make the courses and Duolingo itself more popular.

Yes I agree I am very confused without any of the sound as to how to pronounce it, however I'm happy that the course is out.

Klingon audio is here now, about 10% done.

Now about 50% done!

That's Lieven Litaer, an experienced and proficient Klingonist. You can trust him.

His course is amazing.

The pronunciation rules for Klingon are very different relative to the spelling. Recordings are essential here.

Most of the letters are actually pronounced the same as in English, but some of them are pronounced very different than in English and they throw the wrench into the works. But at least the pronunciation of the letters is very consistent so that once you know how to pronounce each letter, it's easy to say any word you come across. Audio would be very helpful and we are hoping we can soon convince Duolingo to let us add audio.

Common man, killing me. I'm ready to burn through this but I can't because ill learn it wrong. Where's the audio bro?!?

The audio is not there yet.

If you would prefer to learn the course with audio, then I'm afraid you will have to continue to wait.

We don't have an estimated time for audio to be made available, as this is not a decision on our side, but depends on Duolingo technical staff.

Bewildering, why even have the language without sound

And this isn't the only language on Duolingo without audio. It IS a little perplexing.

I might have to Cajun this thing. If I recorded a bunch of dialogue for free, you think they would take it?

Nope. The contributors have offered to do exactly that and it was refused.
