I put "Nosotros compramos los chorizos picantes" but DL marked it as wring. Is the "los" acceptable here?
Why not "salchichas"? Chorizo is already picante, that is what Chorizo is. Salchichas can be sweet and spicy, but not all salchichas picantes are chorizos.
Why does "Estamos comprando" get marked as incorrect?
It shouldn't be wrong since the English sentence is also using the gerund.
Chorizos are spicy so picantes is redundant.
Not always, some are bland. Not accepted was ...salchichones picantes. ¿
Aren't salchichones also spicy?
A more generic term for "sausage" is salchicha or embutido.
I don't think choirizo is the best translation for "sausage," in general, but it is a little more generic than what most Americans associate with chorizo.
"estamos comprando chorizos picantes" is marked right.
I don't always understand when to use "los chorizos" vs just "chorizos"
